Rattlechain steering group meeting minutes
BACKGROUND
I had been “invited to present” at the first of the three meetings of this group, that had been set up to supposedly “independently review” the scope of the Health Protection Agency Human Health Risk Assessment for Rhodia. The background and minutes of the first meeting can be read HERE. The events leading up to this request and minutes of the second meeting can be read HERE. There was no invite to the final meeting which was to discuss the results of the HPA report.
WHAT DID WE ASK AND WHAT DID THEY KNOW?
“Could you please supply me with a copy of the final meeting of the “Rattlechain Lagoon Health Risk Assessment Project Group” meeting chaired and minutes taken by Sandwell PCT.”
During the life of the request the Primary Care Trust had become part of “The Black Country Cluster” of hospitals.
The PCT/BCC responded. Supplied were the following.
Minutes of the final meeting of the group from 8th March 2012.
Summary Findings of the HPA report.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
We have considered the minutes of the final steering group meeting and the HPA report findings and the implicit deceptions within it in detail HERE.
In essence the work paid for by Rhodia was to
“Assess the risk to human health based on the current use of the site in accordance with UK guidance and best practice.”
Work did not include:
• Assessment of risks to wildlife
• Assessment of risks to controlled waters
• Assessment of risks from future uses of the site
• Excludes assessment of risks to workers accessing site”, which is supposedly covered by HSE legislation and not Rhodia’s human health risk assessment
