Certainly the birds appear to have deserted the site almost entirely. Funny now how they are monitoring for release of dangerous chemicals rather looking for the ones in the sediment that their sponsors were so\u00a0 deft at denying were in their toxic soup and poisoning birds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/S1810012.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6410\" src=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/S1810012.jpg\" alt=\"S1810012\" width=\"3968\" height=\"2232\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/S1810023.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6411\" src=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/S1810023.jpg\" alt=\"S1810023\" width=\"3968\" height=\"2232\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/S1810032.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6412\" src=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/S1810032.jpg\" alt=\"S1810032\" width=\"3968\" height=\"2232\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/S1810034.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-6413\" src=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/S1810034.jpg\" alt=\"S1810034\" width=\"637\" height=\"358\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When we first drew attention to the bird mortality issue at the site, Rhodia were more interested in &#8220;bird deterrence&#8221;- some of the wild options for this are shown below from this report.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/scan0011.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6416\" src=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/scan0011.jpg\" alt=\"scan0011\" width=\"2333\" height=\"1696\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In this subsequent &#8220;bird deterrence&#8221; cunningly disguised as &#8220;environmental improvements&#8221; by their other contractor, they do appear to have at last succeeded, so well done- congratulations- though we don&#8217;t know what chemicals they may have added to the bathwater to put wildfowl off staying there- would not be surprised at all- <a title=\"They're back again.\" href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/?p=5051\" target=\"_blank\">they added aluminium sulphate previously to lower the ph allegedly.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So this blog is officially now 2 years old, and will continue into the foreseeable future, learning and uncovering the deceptions of the past.
