Yes 66 years ago things must have been that shite in the North East Port that a group of men from the city of Aberdeen decided that a move to the hell of Oldbury was the only option open to them.<\/p>\n<p>One wonders as they approached the hazy grime and gut chocking smog as well as at this time, <a href=\"https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/?p=8890\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;The Oldbury smell&#8221;<\/a>, if they had regrets and decided to go back North?<\/p>\n<p>The article suggests many things.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>These were not skilled workers, they were fodder for AW, and cheap, like that company also recruited Italians around this same time. Did not Oldbury men want a job at this company? Maybe the black country folk were not as dim as the stereotype suggests?<\/li>\n<li>Quoted is the parasite Kenneth Wilson of the clan who describes his new charges in expendable terms &#8220;most satisfactory&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a315 a week!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reginald Maudling, <\/strong>the politician quoted was best known as a political friend of fraudsters.<\/li>\n<li>Unfortunately this was long before the days of the internet and perhaps they were unaware of why AW <a href=\"https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/?p=13451\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">had some vacancies.\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li>and how about the dangerous chemicals that they would be handling like white phosphorus when at this time phossy jaw cases were still being found at Trinity Street, despite <a href=\"https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/scan0070.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lying scum like this<\/a> attempting to also gloss over the dangers of asbestos. Men at this factory would die from said exposure years later.<\/li>\n<li>Or maybe the <a href=\"https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/oldfire7.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fires and explosions<\/a> at the very place and at this time they were glad to be going to work at! It makes it all the more tragic that their families would also be moving south. A different type of burns night awaited down the local A&amp;E.
