The finding is another example of new development finding the buried items. What is most interesting is the quote from one of those who buried them.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&#8220;When the war ended, we were given orders from the top to bury the bombs&#8221;.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Oh yeah, please name names so they could get the blame , yer daft Dick. Why anyone would have thought this would be a good idea and just &#8220;followed orders&#8221; is pretty lame to say the least. I very much doubt the story.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb36.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14499\" src=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb36-300x276.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"368\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb36-300x276.png 300w, https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb36.png 717w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Sunday Mirror <\/strong>of<strong> 18th January 1970 <\/strong>uncovers another find in the woods, by another recurring theme in that children had found the devices whilst at play. It is not clear if they were still in a box or just loose at surface level, but it is obvious that they were also just dumped by The Home Guard of that area.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb37.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14500\" src=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb37-140x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"860\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb37-140x300.png 140w, https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb37.png 307w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A further 9 AW bombs were found in another garden in Tunbridge Wells- yes even the posh areas saw them buried too. <strong>The Kent and Sussex Courier<\/strong> of <strong>19th March 1971 <\/strong>tells how more garden digging\u00a0 found them. I&#8217;m not sure that the local plod would have appreciated them being taken into the station.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb38.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14501\" src=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb38-202x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb38-202x300.png 202w, https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb38.png 263w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The final article from the <strong>Dundee Courier<\/strong> of <strong>30th April 1987 <\/strong>occurs around 45 years after the Albright and Wilson milkers were written off.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb39.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14502\" src=\"http:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb39-300x174.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb39-300x174.png 300w, https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb39-768x446.png 768w, https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb39-1024x595.png 1024w, https:\/\/whatliesbeneathrattlechainlagoon.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/awb39.png 1116w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This tie a bakers dozen were found by more workmen, one of whose boots started to smoke. I&#8217;m not sure that the RAOC idea of blowing them up on the beach, and then telling the public to stay away from the area where the bottles were found makes any sense at all.
